Join the Careers & Enterprise’s Youth Advisory Group – 2026 Cohort 

Role: Youth Advisory Group (YAG) Member 

Location: Anywhere in England 

Age Range: 14–25 (as of 1st September 2026) 

Term: 1 year, with the opportunity to extend for a second year 

Commitment: Approx. 5 hours per month 

Salary: Voluntary (unpaid)

Are you…  

  • Aged between 14-25 years old   

  • Living in England   

  • Open to sharing your experiences to help improve careers education for all young people 

 

CEC is looking for a diverse group of young people who are open to sharing their experiences, addressing what works (and what doesn’t), and helping improve careers education for other young people across England. 

As a YAG member, you’ll work alongside CEC to make sure young people’s voices are part of decisions that shape the careers education system. Your lived experience will help challenge, influence and strengthen the work we do. 

CEC welcomes applications from those with experience in secondary schools, colleges or further education, specialist or alternative provision, home-schooled/ educated, T Levels, apprenticeship programmes and other training. Whatever your experience, CEC wants to hear from you!  

As a YAG member, you will use your unique lived experiences to challenge and enrich CEC’s work. Sharing your perspective will helps to: 

  • Embed youth voice at every level of our organisation and work  

  • Make our work more effective and impactful for all young people  

  • Bring more young voices into the wider careers education system
